Loch Ness Holidays - 4 Day Tour of the Highlands

Day 1

Arrive at the Inch on Friday afternoon where you will be greeted by the team and one of our ghillies with tea/coffee and homemade scones.

Once settled into your accommodation we will take you to see one of the most spectacular falls in Scotland….the Falls of Foyers so remember to pack your camera.

We then return at the hotel for a whisky tasting in the bar before dinner and introduce you to the best of the highland and lowland malts.

At 7.00pm dinner will be served in the Dining Room where you will enjoy a three course Highland Dinner from our A La Carte Menu.

After dinner you will be invited to retire to the lounge where you will hear the rich history of our hunting lodge and of Fort Augustus over a glass of your favourite brandy, or one of the mellow malts you were introduced to earlier.

Day 2

Saturday we start the day with a traditional Scottish hearty breakfast.

After breakfast we take you on a visit to the Dalwhinnie and Ben Nevis distilleries where you can taste the ‘water of life’ from the Highlands. Then we go to visit two of Scotland’s most magnificent and famous castles: Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness and Eilean Donan Castle on the beautiful west coast.

A packed lunch will be provided by the hotel (weather permitting this is to be enjoyed as a highland picnic).

On your return you will be piped into the hotel by a real Scottish piper and you will have the opportunity to listen to the haunting sound of the pipes.

At 7.00pm your dinner will be served in the restuarant.

After dinner you will have free time to enjoy the remainder of your evening - remembering on Sunday we have an early start.

Day 3

Sunday we start the day with an early breakfast.

After breakfast we go and hunt for our most famous resident - Nessie, the Loch Ness monster, from the comfort of a Loch Ness cruise ship. Here you will learn the history of the monster from the deep and you may even get to take a picture...if you're lucky...

Following the cruise we will take to dry land again and will take you on a clay pigeon shooting trip with your very own ghillie.

We'll return to the hotel in the afternoon for a buffet lunch, after which it is time for our very own mini highland games, hosted on in the ground of the Inch Hotel, with a own prize giving ceremony and some memorable photo opportunities.

At 7:30 pm your dinner will be served in the Dining Room.

After dinner get ready for a surprise evening…….and we are not telling you any more……..

Day 4

Monday we allow you to start the day with a late, leisurely breakfast from 9pm as a reward for yesterday’s early start and full on day.

After breakfast we take a short walk to see an amazing view over Loch Ness and Fort Augustus then return at the hotel for check out.

Before leaving the hotel don’t forget to take our gift with you...........
